![]() ![]() Cultural diversity is the common heritage of humanity.Īll the countries in the world commemorate of historic events and celebrates the nation’s heroes through many ways. The cultural life of Bengal basin shaped by the different dynasties such as Maurya, Gupta, Pala, Sena and Early Islamic. represents one of the earliest urban centres in the entire Bengal basin. For example, the present Mahasthangarh represents the ancient city of Pundranagar, the provincial capital of the Mauyra Empire which dated back to the 3 rd century B.C. The historical sites such as Mahasthangarh, Pharpur Buddist vihar, Begerhat sixty dome mosque are one of the few testimonies of our historical linked, beliefs and lifestyle with Buddhism, Hinduism and Islamism. The Bengal delta which was once covered with rainforests and wetlands saw human settlements thousands of years ago. In Bangladesh, our societies are shaped by Bengali culture which mixed with Islamic and Pre-Islamic traditions. Historically our societies are shaped by cultural and spiritual values. In the process of forming our civilised society religion influences the culture and religion is also influenced by culture. ![]() Civilization is a complex human society consists of certain characteristics of culture. ![]() Culture has two forms tangible (monuments) and intangible heritage (performing arts, rituals, traditional knowledge, and skills) which is related with our civilization such as ancient Egypt, Greek, Rome, and Mesopotamia and so on. It has it’s diverse form which we can see through the masterpiece of our human creative genius, interchange of human values, exceptional testimony to a cultural tradition or civilisation, directly related with events or living traditions, ideas and beliefs. Culture is who we are and what shapes our identity. It shows that Bangladesh is a country which cultural heritage is diverse. This red, green flag is brought together by the Bengali people who were united regardless their religions, race and sex (Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian). I pay deep homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman along with four other’s national leaders for their great leadership to bring our RED GREEN FLAG. We established our country on the bloodshed of our Bengali heroes. To establish our equal rights as a human being as a citizen of a country, we had to struggle 23 years (from 1947 to 1971), sacrificed 3 million lives, 2 hundred thousand women were raped and a ninth month bloody war. We must remember victory did not come naturally. I warmly CONGRATULATE my beloved countrymen on this great occasion, and I wishes all of them great celebrations of the Victory Day. It is our GREATEST achievement in the history of the world as a Bengali nation. We were born as an independent Nation called our BELOVED BANGLADESH. December 16, 1971, we emerged as a victorious. Bangladesh, Bangladeshi, and Bengali Cultureĭecember 16 may be an ordinary day for many in the world but for Bangladeshi it is a historic day, the DAY of VICTORY. ![]()
